On January 25, 2011 a mass protest of more than a million people, in Tahrir Square that only lasted for 18 days impacted Egypt enormously. The protesting that took place in Tahrir Square brought down a 30-year reign of corrupt rule in Egypt, forcing President Hosni Mubarak to step down from office. Although the revolution brought change it did not come without a price. Over 800 protestors were killed by the government and many more were injured. Now a year later Egypt is holding its first polls for a new President in years, but there is still unrest and tension in Egypt.
